The One Thing You Must Use To Get You Where You Want To Be

If you’re like most of us, you have a dream of where you want to be in life. But where you are now doesn’t look anything like where you want to be. The dream in your head isn’t like the reality that’s playing out in front of you.

That may frustrate you. You wonder why you can’t get from where you are to where you want to be.

You are blessed with talent.
You can see opportunity.
You even feel a strong, strong desire.

I’ve felt those same frustrations. I’ve wondered why I’d been given all of these things but couldn’t seem to move closer to the dream, to the place where my passion, skill and purpose all wove together.

I’ll tell you what doesn’t get you from where you are now to where you want to be:

  • Fear
  • Doubt
  • Waiting for permission

Each of these robs us of the one thing we must use to get from where we are now to where we want to be.

It’s really no secret. The one thing is called: today.

Where you are now and where you want to be are connected but not certain. You have to work hard today to slowly make the where you are look more and more like the where you want to be.

It’s time to prepare a new type of leader to engage and guide a workforce that is voting with it’s feet for greater autonomy, personal investment and a boss that doesn’t suck the life out of them.
